Artificial Intelligence Research Paper: Home

Goal:  Students will write a 3-5 page research paper on a topic related to algorithmic bias / Artificial Intelligence of their choosing.  Students will consult articles, documentaries, podcasts, etc. as sources to highlight a problem statement, discuss the implications of the problem, and/or discuss any potential solutions.  

Stage One:  Topic Selection 

Here is a list of topics that students may choose from.  There are other topics available that students can propose. 

1. Pew Research Center - Research on technology trends and societal impacts.
2. MIT Technology Review - Articles and reports on AI developments and their societal implications. Use Academic Onefile (below) to get around the firewall.
3. Harvard Business Review - Insights on AI in business and its societal effects. Use Academic Onefile (below) to get around the firewall.
4. Stanford University’s AI Index - AI Charts and annual reports on the state of AI and its societal impact.
5. AI Now Institute - Research on the social implications of artificial intelligence and government policy related to AI. 
6. Wired Magazine- full eMagazines are available through Sora
